I don’t think that anyone really understands the importance of sleep more than a new parent. In those early days everything seems to revolve around getting your baby to sleep so that you can take a breather, even if it is just for a short period of time.
I genuinely believe that merino helps babies to sleep better, and when your baby is securely swaddled in merino, they will sleep better and for longer.
Since merino helps to self-regulate baby’s temperature, merino swaddles ensure that your baby is not too hot nor too cold.
I also love the natural stretch that merino fabric has, so when you are swaddling your baby, it is easy to get just the right amount of 'snugness'. Merino naturally stretches to ensure that the swaddle is a perfect fit, every time - just enough tightness, so that baby can’t wriggle free, yet not too tight so that baby can’t still move freely.
Merino is a premium fabric, especially if sourced from New Zealand or Australia (as that is where some of the finest merino in the world is produced), so yes, it can costs a little more, but the benefits of using a natural, organic and sustainable fabric become very evident, very quickly.
You can check out where he get our merino from here. Remember, all our merino is sourced locally and both natural and sustainable.
We love merino.
